Arcola and surroundings

The village of Arcola is located in the lower Val di Magra and is characterized by its medieval structure with concentric rings with paved lanes. In the village stands the ancient pentagonal tower obertenga of 25 meters, the remains of a powerful manor destroyed by the Genoese. The B & B is located in a strategic position to reach both the seaside resorts and those of the hinterland: Lerici with its imposing Castle, the small port and its colored streets is only a few minutes away by car; Fiascherino and Tellaro with some of the most beautiful stretches of coastline of the Mediterranean are only 6 km away; La Spezia with the Naval Museum, the embarkation for the 5 Terre and the shopping streets is about 8 km, as well as Sarzana with its famous antique markets; the beaches of Versilia and the fashionable places of Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio are 12 km away, while Portofino, a famous Italian town, can be reached in just over an hour.

From La Spezia (also via Vezzano Ligure railway - 3 km from the b & b) it is also possible to reach the priceless scenery of the 5 Terre by train and make trekking routes along the paths marked by the CAI.
